An ionic compound is a compound composed of a group of substances that have the same valence that would have an electric charge. For example, the same element and its ions are putting together to form a compound. To put an ionic compound together with a number of other compounds, the amount of space between the molecules of the compound must be determined. When the spaces between the molecules are too large, the effects will not be felt by the person doing the mixing.On the other hand, the second kind of mixture is similar mixtures. Similar mixtures are those containing compounds that contain the same number of atoms. The chemical properties of the mixtures would be the same whether the substances are similar in size or the size of the molecules. There are plenty of similarities in mixtures. A good example of a similar mixture is salt and water.In the history of chemistry, there are plenty of people who have succeeded in solving the problem of chemistry by using chemical compounds. Nowadays, this is no longer a mystery.
